Strength Training Programs for Seniors in Retirement Villages
Evidence-based strength training for over 65s delivered on-site in retirement villages. Our programs are designed to combat age-related muscle loss, improve bone density, and help residents maintain their independence for longer. Up to 37% muscle strength increase across our participants.
Why Strength Training Matters After 65
After age 65, adults lose 1-2% of muscle mass per year — a condition called sarcopenia. Without intervention, this leads to weakness, increased fall risk, and loss of independence. The good news? Strength training can reverse these effects at any age. Research shows that even people in their 80s and 90s can make significant strength gains with the right program.
Combat Sarcopenia
Resistance training is the single most effective intervention for age-related muscle loss. Our programs target the key muscle groups that support daily activities.
Improve Bone Density
Weight-bearing and resistance exercises stimulate bone growth, reducing the risk of osteoporosis and fractures from falls.
Maintain Independence
Stronger muscles mean easier daily tasks — getting out of chairs, climbing stairs, carrying shopping, and staying mobile.

Functional Movements (10-15 minutes)
Sit-to-stand practice, step-ups, reaching exercises — movements that directly improve daily activities.
Cool-Down (5-10 minutes)
Gentle stretching and breathing exercises. Review of progress and goals for next session.
